You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by your local law) to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your Google/email account secure, for the accuracy of the information associated with it, and for all activity that happens under your account. Accounts are for one person and may not be shared.

Synapse builds personalized learning courses and study material with AI. AI-generated content may contain mistakes, omissions, or outdated information — always verify important material against reliable sources, especially before exams or decisions that matter. The service is an educational tool; it is not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.

The service offers a free plan and a paid Pro subscription as described on the pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for. Prices may change with reasonable notice. Refunds are handled at our discretion and as required by applicable law.

You keep ownership of everything you create or upload — your goals, notes, courses, and study material. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the service for you. You're responsible for the content you submit. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation.

The service itself — the Synapse name, brand, design, software, and features — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of it to you.

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that put the service or other users at risk. When an account is deleted or terminated, the personal data associated with it is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted, error-free operation. We don't guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synapse and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or US$50 if you never paid us).

We may update the service and these Terms. For material changes we will notify account holders in the app or by email, and the updated Terms take effect on the date stated in the notice. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated Terms; if you disagree, stop using the service and delete your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
